14 Bible verses about miracles
What is a miracle according to the Bible? A miracle is a divine manifestation, a supernatural event in the sense that it goes beyond natural laws. The Bible is full of miracle stories. The Jewish people's crossing of the Red Sea, miraculous healings, the multiplication of loaves, the turning of water into wine... If we were to list miracles in the Bible, it would be a long one! The evangelists are already unable to list all the miracles Jesus performed during his life, as John expresses at the end of his gospel: "There are still many other things that Jesus did; and if it were necessary to write down every one of them, I think the whole world would not be enough to contain the books that would be written." (John 21, 25)
Here are a few biblical passages and extracts about God's miracles, through the prophets, Christ, his disciples ... and each of us if we believe!
"What is impossible for men is possible for God. "( Luke 18:27)
Christ's miracles: miraculous healings, resurrection, multiplication of the loaves
Here are three verses that evoke Christ's miraculous deeds:
"Jesus took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he pronounced the blessing over them, broke them and gave them to his disciples to distribute to the crowd. And when they had eaten, they were all satisfied, and the pieces that remained were gathered up, making twelve baskets" (Luke 9:16-17).
"When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they thought he was a ghost and began to cry out"(Mark 6, 49).
"Well, that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins... - Jesus then addressed the paralyzed man - get up, take your stretcher, and go home. "So he got up and went home" (Matthew 9, 6-7).

"The Lord said to Moses: "Make yourself a burning snake, and set it on the top of a pole: let everyone who is bitten look at it, and they will live!" (Numbers 21:8)
The apostles' miracles
The apostles were sent by Jesus to heal the sick and expel demons. After Pentecost, buoyed up by the Holy Spirit, they performed numerous miracles.
"Peter said, "I have no silver or gold, but what I have I give you: in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, stand up and walk. "Then he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankles became strong" (Acts 3:6-7).
" Peter put everyone outside; he knelt down and prayed; then he turned to the body, and said, "Tabitha, get up! "She opened her eyes and, seeing Peter, straightened up and sat down. Peter took her hand and raised her up" (Acts 9, 36-42).
