What is a miracle according to the Bible? A miracle is a divine manifestation, a supernatural event in the sense that it goes beyond natural laws. The Bible is full of miracle stories. Here are three verses that evoke Christ's miraculous deeds:

"Jesus took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he pronounced the blessing over them, broke them and gave them to his disciples to distribute to the crowd. And when they had eaten, they were all satisfied, and the pieces that remained were gathered up, making twelve baskets" (Luke 9:16-17).

"When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they thought he was a ghost and began to cry out"(Mark 6, 49).

Miracles of Moses

Through the prophets, God has repeatedly shown his power and mercy. Here are two examples of God's love for His people guided by Moses:

"You, lift up your staff, stretch out your arm over the sea, split it in two, and let the sons of Israel enter the middle of the sea on dry ground" (Exodus 14:16).

The apostles' miracles

The apostles were sent by Jesus to heal the sick and expel demons. After Pentecost, buoyed up by the Holy Spirit, they performed numerous miracles.
