In the Christian tradition, many saint thaumaturgists have performed healing miracles, such as St. Jude, the “Patron Saint of Impossible Cases” or St. Anthony of Padua, the “Saint of Miracles”. We are not talking about magic, but miraculous deeds performed by these saints through the purity of their hearts. Faith and abandonment to God’s will is the key of miracles, and it is with these two virtues that the saints managed to obtain the gift of healing. When praying for the healing of a loved one or for yourself, use the great piety of saints as an example. Pray for the intercession of saints with two beautiful prayers of healing.
“Most Holy Apostle, Saint Jude, patron saint of impossible causes, I place myself in your care. With fervent trust and confidence, I seek your heavenly intercession. Pray for me in my times of need. Help me realize each day that I am not alone when facing sickness, disease, suffering or sorrow.
Assist me now, dear Saint Jude, in petitioning Almighty God for strength when I am in distress, courage to overcome my anxieties, and the gift of a complete healing of mind and body. Ask our Loving Lord to deepen my faith and steadfast conviction in His healing power, and to bless me with the graces necessary to accept whatever may lie ahead for me and for my loved ones.
Thank you, O Holy Saint Jude, for the promise of hope you offer to all who believe. Inspire me always to offer this gift of hope to others.
“O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints, your love for God and Charity for His creatures, made you worthy while on earth to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore of you to obtain for me the favor that I seek.
(Name your intention)
The answer to my prayer may require a miracle: even so, you are the Saint of Miracles. O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was everfull of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms; and the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours.
Miraculous prayers are often called “efficacious” or “unfailing”. It is important that you recite them with fervor and confidence in God, putting all your heart and soul into the prayer… Do not forget that the Lord works in mysterious ways!
“Patience gains all things. Those who have God will want for nothing.” (St. Teresa of Ávila)
