What does God’s faithfulness mean? Faithfulness is a virtue connected to constancy and trustworthiness, describing a person who keeps their promises and whose word can be trusted. A faithful person is someone we can depend on with confidence and security.
Faithfulness in the Bible is described as a characteristic of God: “I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God! He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.” (Deuteronomy 32, 3-4) and praised in many bible verses. God is named “the rock” because his faithfulness transcends time and space ; God always keeps his promises to his people, and his word does not change! His faithfulness, closely connected to his generosity and his justice, is a shield, because in his love for us, the Lord will never abandon us!

God’s faithfulness is eternal
“God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” (Numbers 23, 19)
“He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.” (Deuteronomy 32, 4)
Our God is faithful to his people
