The Luminous Mysteries

The Luminous Mysteries correspond to the second series of the mysteries of the Rosary, traditionally prayed on Thursday. In the prayer of the Rosary, they are meditated on between the joyful mysteries and the sorrowful mysteries. These mysteries, which correspond to the public life of Christ, from his baptism, were added late to this prayer by Pope John Paul II.
