List of the Prayers of the Rosary
There are many prayers and devotions stemming from a rosary. Find here the list of all the prayers that you can say with a rosary.
- The prayer of the Rosary: it is the best known and most widespread prayer of the rosary. It is recited from a traditional rosary.
- The rosary of divine mercy: this prayer of the rosary was transmitted to us by Saint Faustina; it is one of the components of the devotion to divine mercy.
- The rosary of Saint Joseph recited from the prayer “Hail Joseph”
- The Rosary of Saint Joseph, which invites you to meditate on the mysteries of the life of Christ through the eyes of Joseph (the mysteries of this rosary are different from those of the Marian prayer, since Joseph did not experience all the events that Mary did)
- The rosary to Saint Michael: also called the rosary of angels, it is a powerful prayer of protection
- The Rosary to Saint Rita
- The Fatima rosary, which takes up the traditional prayer of the Rosary with the addition of some additional prayers (prayers received during the apparitions of the Virgin at Fatima)
- The Rosary to the Holy Spirit which invites us to meditate on ten mysteries of the action of the Holy Spirit in the Gospels
- The rosary to obtain the 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit: this rosary is traditionally prayed during the octave of Pentecost.
- The rosary of the Blessed Sacrament invites us to adore the real presence of Jesus in the host
- The Eucharistic Rosary that prays with a 33-bead rosary (the 33 years of Jesus on earth)
- The Rosary of the Sick
- The Rosary of Liberation, which is based on this biblical verse: “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36)
- The Rosary to the Souls in Purgatory
- The rosary for the deceased so that the souls of the deceased may rest in peace.
- The Rosary of Surrender
- The Rosary Against Evil
Some are recited on a traditional rosary, others on specific rosaries whose number of beads adapt to the prayers of devotion. It is therefore good to know what prayer we want to say when buying a rosary.
