Praying the Rosary in Thanksgiving for an Exam

Academic success, positive medical exam, for a grace received, there are multiple opportunities to thank God. Praying the rosary is a beautiful way to give thanks to God for all the gifts He gives us. Not only is it an act of gratitude, but it is also a source of important spiritual benefits. So let us not hesitate to recite our rosaries to say thank you.

What mysteries can I meditate on for this rosary of thanksgiving?

The Church offers the faithful 4 sets of mysteries that are meditated on specific days of the week. However, we can show flexibility and meditate on the joyful mysteries on a Friday if this day is particularly abundant in graces for us.

We have:

As this rosary will be recited in thanksgiving for a grace received, for a success, the joyful and glorious mysteries are the most suitable and allow us to express our joy to the Virgin Mary and her Son.

The process of the rosary

We can pray the rosary individually or as a family.  To do this, we can follow the steps below.

We can start with:

  • an I believe in God
  • an Our Father
  • three Hail Marys

Before starting the recitation of the decade, we can take the time to entrust a prayer intention.

After each mystery meditation, say a decade of the rosary starting with an Our Father, then ten Hail Marys and ending with a Glory Be.

End the rosary with a prayer of thanksgiving

“O Mary, Thou most sweet Mother of every Priest, Mediatrix and Dispenser of all Graces, from the bottom of my heart I pray, I implore Thee and I beg Thee to thank Jesus, the blessed Fruit of Thy womb, and this today, tomorrow and forever.” Prayer of thanks to the Virgin by Padre Pio.
