The resurrection is the first glorious mystery. The glorious mysteries invite us to meditate on the various events after the sorrowful mysteries. In this first glorious mystery, the Church invites us to meditate on faith, gift of God, transmitted by our parents. We can take the time to meditate on this virtue taught by the Church.

When Jesus had finished saying all these things, he said to his disciples, “As you know, the Passover is two days away—and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.”
Then the chief priests and the elders of the people assembled in the palace of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas, and they schemed to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him. “But not during the festival,” they said, “or there may be a riot among the people.”
While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of Simon the Leper, a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table.
When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. “Why this waste?” they asked. “This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor.”
(Matthew 26:1-8)
The first glorious mystery is meditated on with the Ascension, Pentecost, Assumption and Coronation of the Virgin Mary. The Glorious Mysteries are usually recited on Wednesday and Sunday. The fruit of the mystery that the Church proposes to us is faith. This gift received at our baptism is what conditions our Christian life. We must seek to keep it alive as if we wanted to maintain a fire. The Church invites us in this decade to always be concerned about our faith and to nourish it with prayer and the sacraments.
“Where are you going, Mary Magdalene, in the company of the holy women? Where are you walking so quickly? You are going to the sepulcher. 'Jesus is no longer there: He has risen, as He said. You seek the living among the dead.' Your beloved Lord has risen, glorious forever, happy forever, O Magdalene! Your happiness is silent now, you kiss His feet, you have no more words, but only kisses and tears: your Beloved is blessed, always.”
Charles de Foucauld
"We adore you, O Christ, in your resurrection! Make us faithful witnesses of your resurrection. May the faithful from all over the world profess and proclaim their faith in the Resurrection, finding in you their peace and joy.” (Saint John Paul II)
“Faith can do anything. My God, give us faith, and we will love You with all our heart ” (Saint Curé d 'Ars)
