The rosary according to Our Lady of Medjugorje

What did Our Lady say at Medjugorje about the rosary?

Ever since the first apparitions  in Medjugorje, Our Lady has been calling us to pray the daily rosary: the joyful, sorrowful and glorious mysteries. Here are some extracts from messages she has given to visionaries over the past 45 years about praying the rosary and rosary beads:

• "I would like the world in these days to pray by my side as much as possible. That people fast sternly on Wednesday and Friday. Finally that everyone pray every day at least the Rosary: the joyful, sorrowful and glorious mysteries." Message of August 14, 1984 to Ivan.
• "Dear children, put on the battle gear and be victorious, rosary in hand." Message of August 8, 1985.
• "Dear children, today I ask you to begin praying the Rosary with living faith. In this way, I will be able to help you. You want, dear children, to obtain graces, but you don't pray. So I can't help you, because you haven't set yourselves in motion. Dear children, I ask you to pray the Rosary. May it be for you an obligation that you will fulfill with joy." Message of June 12, 1986.
• "Pray! May the Rosary always be in your hands the sign for Satan that you belong to me." Message of February 25, 1988.
• "I call on all priests, religious men and women to pray the rosary and to teach others to pray. The rosary, little children, is particularly dear to me. Through the rosary, open your hearts to me, and I will be able to help you." Message of August 25, 1997.
• "Little children, prayer works miracles. When you're tired and sick and don't know the meaning of your life, take the rosary and pray; pray until prayer becomes for you a joyful encounter with your Savior." Message of April 25, 2001.

The Medjugorje rosary of peace

During the apparitions in Medjugorje, the Virgin Mary requested the recitation of the rosary for peace, especially for priests and world peace. In the parish of Medjugorje, as requested by Our Lady, the rosary is prayed at the end of mass. This rosary comprises 7 groups of 3 beads. Here's how to recite it:

• On the cross: I believe in God
• On each of the 7 groups of 3 beads: 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary, 1 Glory be to the Father.
• At the end of the rosary: You can recite a prayer for peace.

How to pray the rosary in union with Our Lady of Medjugorje?

On sister Emmanuel Maillard's Youtube channel "Enfants de Medjugorje" (Children of Medjugorje) a perpetual rosary has been set up with the participation of Radio Maria France. It allows you to pray the rosary continuously in union with Medjugorje. In reality, this is not a "real" live broadcast, as Sister Emmanuel or Father Mathieu do not pray live. Anyone, at any time of the day or night, can join them in prayer, forming a continuous rosary chain and thus responding to Our Lady's call: "You are my hope! Pray with me!" (January 2023).
