"Ineffable Creator,
You are the true source of light
and wisdom.
Deign to pour your clarity
on the darkness of my intelligence;
drive from me the darkness
of sin and ignorance.
Give me the insight to understand,
the memory to retain,
the method and facility to learn,
the lucidity to interpret,
abundant grace to express myself.
