5. ACKNOWLEDGING GOD IN HIS CREATION
I'm asking the Holy Ghost to help me acknowledge the greatness of God in His Creation
Discovering the gift of science
“When we talk of science, we immediately turn our mind towards man's ability to always better know the reality around him and discover the laws ruling nature and the universe. However, the science that comes from the Holy Ghost is not restricted to human knowledge; it is a special gift that enables us through Creation to grasp the greatness and love of God as well as His deep relationship with each one of His Creatures.
When the Spirit enlightens our eyes, they are open to the contemplation of God in the beauty of nature and the greatness of the universe, thereby leading us to discover that all things talk to us about Him and His love. All of this kindles in us very great wonder and a feeling of thankfulness.”
- Pope Francis
Asking for the gift of science
Father, I'm asking Thee for the gift of science. Through Thy Holy Ghost make my heart a praising heart that marvels at Thy Creation.
Grant me the grace to acknowledge that I am created by love in Thy image in order to be with Thee. Be I through Thy grace capable of taking me as I am and what surrounds me as Thy invaluable gift and an invaluable sign of Thy boundless love for me.
Open my eyes so that I may acknowledge Thee in all things.
I'm asking Thee this by Jesus, the Christ and our Lord. Amen
Living and partaking the gift of science
“For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” Acts 2, 39
When God reveals to me that He created me in His image and offers me to acknowledge Him in all things, He invites me not to keep this promise to myself. May I partake the wonder that I experience to those around me so that in turn they acknowledge God in His Creation?
Take a moment to treasure up all these things and ponder them in your heart (cf Luke 2,19)
Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone. Col 4:6
