I can't forgive...
     I don't have the strength...

Let us be filled with The Love and Peace of Our Lord

Trust in God's Divine Mercy. Join us for 9 days to pray and meditate on forgiveness, using texts from the Holy Scriptures and the Rosary of Holy Wounds. Let us ask Our Lady of Perpetual Help and the Sacred Heart of Jesus for help.

The Novena's Content:

  • A Gospel meditation on forgiveness
  • A prayer to Our Lady of Perpetual Help

It is important that you go to confession throughout the novena. Pray the Rosary of Mercy to the Virgin Mary at least once during this Novena!

"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy'. But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of you Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collector doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Mat 5, 43-48

Prayer from the novena

Prayer to Our Lady of Perpetual Help

O Mother of Perpetual Help, grant that I may ever invoke thy most powerful name, which is the safeguard of the living and the salvation of the dying. O purest Mary, O sweetest Mary, let thy name henceforth be ever on my lips. Delay not, O Blessed Lady, to help me, whenever I call on thee; for, in all my temptations, in all my needs, I shall never cease to call on thee, ever repeating thy sacred name, Mary, Mary. O what consolation, what sweetness, what confidence, what emotion, fill my soul when I utter thy sacred name, or even only think of thee. I thank the Lord for having given thee, for my good so sweet, so powerful, so lovely a name. But I will not be content with merely uttering thy name. Let my love for thee prompt me ever to hail thee, Mother of Perpetual Help.
