One week of prayer for our Moms

InactiveIt is our common experience - we all have a mother. Our moms prayed for us more than we know! Now is our turn to offer these prayers, from the heart, for mothers everywhere!

He that honoureth his mother is as one that layeth up a treasure ” - Ecclesiasticus 3:4 (KJV)

Being a mom is a challenging path, mixed with both afflictions and joys. It is far from being an easy one, probably because there is no magic recipe for motherhood. While mothering styles may differ, most moms have one thing in common: they try their best, relying on the Holy Spirit, who is helping them.

Our program for the week:

During one week, from June 18th to June 24th, we will pray daily for our moms. Every day, we will focus on one particular category of moms.

Don't forget, this is also your place to share prayers and thoughts for moms about whom you care!

Monday 6/18: for women yearning for motherhood

Tuesday 6/19:  for expecting mothers

Wednesday 6/20: for mothers reluctant to keep their child

Thursday 6/21: for mothers caring for a special-needs child

Friday 6/22: for mothers caring for a sick child

Saturday 6/23: for grieving mothers who lost a child

Sunday 6/24: for mothers who raise and educate on a daily basis

Special thoughts and prayers for ill and impaired mothers who carry on their duties courageously.

And last but not least, let us pray for the mothers who went home to the Father, and intercede in Heaven on our behalf.

Community prayer

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
