Harmony of Fraternity
Francis's main concern for the Order was to always maintain a solid bond among his brothers, creating unity in the Holy Spirit and the Father so that they could live in peace under the protection of Mother Mary. He sought union between the young and the old, the educated and uneducated in fraternal affection, using the power of love to bring together those that differences separated.

Meditation
For Francis, fraternal affection is only possible if I have the courage to recognize my weaknesses and my vulnerability, and share them openly with the other who I recognise as a brother or sister. According to St. Francis, basic fraternity is the art of living where the main goal is to enrich human relationships and strengthen communion between people. It is based on solidarity, brotherly affetion, participation and protection of the weakest. A lifestye that shows that our greatest assets are our sisters and brothers making it possible for free communion without domination or ownership. What is the Franciscan way? A meeting place where everyone learns to live a life of truth led by the Holy Spirit; a place where one can experience the Resurrection in the middle of their weaknesses and vulnerabilities.

Resolution for the Day
Am I able to see how fortunate I am everyday to be with my colleagues, family, members of my community, friends? I will try to tell them how grateful I am for who they are.
Prayer Intention
Happy is he who is able to love and help a sick or unable brother rather than a brother in good health who is useful. Happy is he who will love and respect his brother whether he is near or far, and who will not speak badly of his brother behind his back but will confront him with his admonition.
(Admonition 25 - writings of St Francis - brotherly love)
