Mothers (parents in general) are often the first educators of their children.

For our last day of prayer, let us lift in our prayers those mothers who are transmitting values, knowledge, skills, attitudes, and practices every day.

Prayer of the Day

Heavenly Father, please help these mothers to stay patient and loving towards their children.

Give them strength and courage to keep up with the needs of their family, their home, and their work.

Help them balance mercy and discipline in the right measure, to give genuine praise, to accept their children's limitation and not hold it against them.

Teach their children to be obedient to Your laws, let them be instruments of Your peace in their homes, in our land, and in the family of nations.

May the blessings of Your sevenfold gifts be in all who teach and in all who learn through the Holy Spirit.

Grant that they may follow Jesus Christ,

The Way, the Truth, and the Life,

Forever and ever,

Amen.
