 Getting pregnant and giving birth is a natural phenomenon, but there's nothing automatic about it. Without necessarily going as far as infertility, some couples may take longer to welcome a baby. When the desire for a child arises, it's a good idea to entrust this hope to God. Just as certain vitamins help a mother-to-be 's body before pregnancy, prayer prepares the heart to welcome the gift of life in its own time. And who better than a mother to guide us along this path? Entrust your expectations to the Virgin Mary, Mother of God, through this prayer to Our Lady of Grace, who has already worked so many miracles and obtained so many graces. "Virgin Mary,
you appeared in Cotignac so that the faithful could come in procession to ask for graces from you, Our Lady of Graces, you blessed the maternity of  Anne of Austria, Queen of France.of Anne of Austria, Queen of France, through the novena of Brother Fiacre, you have blessed many couples hoping for children over the centuries;

we humbly ask you:
take under your maternal mantle our couple hoping for a child, 
open us to life, protect it in its fragile beginnings,
give our union and all couples in need a beautiful fruitfulness for the joy of the Church, 
according to the will of God the Father, through Jesus his beloved Son,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.

Novena to Our Lady of Grace to prepare for pregnancy

Novena content

The novena consists in praying for 9 days in a row to the Virgin Mary and, through her, to the Lord. 9 days to open your heart and purify your desire, just as the 9 months of pregnancy are needed for the baby to form in the womb.

Every day, the mother-to-be (accompanied by the father-to-be if possible) recites :
- the prayer to Our Lady of Graces
- a decade of the rosary: 1 Our Father, 10 Hail Marys and 1 Glory be to the Father.
