Walking from house to house with St. Teresa of Avila

The Province de Paris des Carmes Déchaux offers a Lenten retreat with Saint Teresa of Avila.

It was in the midst of a crisis that Saint Teresa of Ávila (1515-1582) wrote her spiritual masterpiece, the Book of Mansions. While her entire work at Carmelites seemed to be collapsing, she draws her energy from her inner castle. In the context of our health and economic crisis, the 'Madre' can help us during this Lenten season to discover that our strength lies within. With this Doctor of the Church, we will walk from house to house to the center where the light of Easter shines. The presence of the Risen One is the true good news that can revitalize our spiritual life.

Retreat prayer

May nothing trouble you (Saint Teresa of Avila)

Let nothing disturb you, let nothing frighten you. Everything passes, God doesn't change. Patience gets everything. If you have God, nothing is missing. God alone is enough.
