Who are we?

We are a team of youth ministers who seek to awaken dignity in young people by helping them discover their God-given identity.
Our mission is to reestablish Christ at the centre of Catholic Education.

The Forerunners are a team of youth ministers who work in collaboration with the monastic community and the chaplains in the Worth School (UK).

We take our inspiration from Saint John the Baptist who was the Forerunner to Christ.

A voice cries out: “In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.” ISAIAH 40:3-11

The following are the principles of the Forerunner model of discipleship, drawn from John 1:35-42:

"Standing with" - our ministry is relational
“Behold the Lamb of God” – our ministry is encounter focused
"What do you seek?” – our ministry encourages searching questions
“Come and see” – our ministry is invitational
“They stayed with him that day” – our ministry is hospitable
“You shall be called Cephas” – our ministry is vocational

Community prayer

Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And let us not enter into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen
