Prayer groups for youth

Being young can be challenging. It is not easy to find a place where we belong and discover who we are. There is a thrill with every challenge, but it can also be daunting at times. However, do not forget that God is with us every step of the way and believes in us!

“For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope” (Jeremiah 29:11).

Confiding our questions, doubts, delights and problems in God can help us go through this phase of life with His support!

You can choose one of the various prayer retreats on Hozana. Find one that will help you reach discernment, open up and shine!

Pray to find your path

When we are young, we often have to face many questions regarding our future, vocation, and life decisions. Who am I? Where do I belong? What path should I choose to find fulfilment? Opinions and advice from others are not always helpful. The one who can help you to see more clearly is the Holy SpiritLet him guide you and accept the gifts He has prepared for you - especially the gift of discernment. Give yourself a chance to discover who you truly are!

Entrusting the challenges and trials of youth to God

Going to college, finding a first job, internships, first apartment, falling in love are beautiful moments to cherish in your memory for years, but they can come with their challenges. It becomes easy to lose touch and develop addictive behaviours when we feel lonely. We can make mistakes and fail, but Jesus will always be by our sides! He will pick us up, guide us and get us through these trials, shall we ask him!

Entrust your challenges, difficulties, pain to Christ and pray for one another by joining a novena or posting a prayer intention on Hozana.

Be a light in this world!

Dynamism, ardour, and cheerfulness of youth are true treasures of this world. “No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house” (Matthew 5:15). That is the lesson we can learn from Carlo Acutis, who died at 15 or Saint Maria Goretti. Through worship and prayer, through contribution to society and attention to others, each young Christian is encouraged to testify the love of Jesus! The love that calls us to a new life!
