Month #9: Heavenly Wisdom

"One of the sublime titles given to Mary in her glorious litany is “Seat of Wisdom.” A wise person knows what is most important in life. Dynamic love for God and ardent desire for the salvation of immortal souls are hallmarks of true wisdom. Our Lady had a burning love for God and and ardent desire for the conversion of sinners and their eternal salvation. The Second Vatican Council document Lumen Gentium tells us, 'The Blessed Virgin persevered in her union with her Son unto the cross…joining herself with his sacrifice in her mother's heart.' King Solomon was once wise, but he gave into his weakness - that of lustful desires - and ended his life a fool. We beg for the intercession of Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom, to attain for us not only wisdom now, but perseverance in this sublime virtue until the very end!" Fr. Ed Broom

Hello Friends! During this retreat, we will pray for the grace to grow in the virtue of wisdom by reflecting on a small quote or bible verse. At the end of each reflection, we simply ask Our Lady to make us more like her by praying a Hail Mary for an increase in the virtue of Wisdom.

The quotes/images for this retreat run parallel to the 9-month Impossible Novena; however, the Impossible Novena Retreat contains the Impossible Novena prayer, rather than the prayer for a specific virtue. This means that you may join one, some, many, or even ALL of our retreats! We are here to meet you wherever you are in your prayer life and spiritual journey in a way that is simple yet meaningful.

Growing in virtue takes not only time and training, but tons of grace. Together, let's take baby steps to grow in holiness, so that we may find the path closest to Christ by following in the footsteps of Our Blessed Mother.
