Two Beautiful Prayers to Saint George for Work
Saint George was a conscientious soldier, known for his discipline and wisdom. Through hard work, he rose through the ranks. He therefore comes to the aid of all those who pray to him for help with their work-related concerns. Here are two beautiful prayers to Saint George to help you find a job and to ask for his protection.
Prayer to Saint George to Find a Job
“On your white horse, O Saint George, you ride through the night and the fog in search of the black dragon. Tirelessly you journey along treacherous roads to free those who, helpless and destitute, are chained to the Leviathan. Saint George, I pray to you, deliver me from the monster of the abyss; come quickly to my aid; strengthen my frail arm on life’s journey and free me from my chains, that I may find good fortune without worry. Radiant knight, mounted on a white steed, may the hoof of this pure horse strike the ground; may this bring me luck and hope, success, and every joy. Through Jesus Christ, our divine Savior. Amen.”
Prayer to Saint George Against Jealousy at Work
“Saint George, warrior in the heavenly host, pray for us; come to the aid of God’s people; deign to defend us against the devil and, in general, against our very powerful enemies; and finally, lead us into the presence of God to the abode of the blessed.
Lord, my God, I will sing your praises in the presence of your angels. I will offer you my most humble homage in your holy temple, and I will proclaim the greatness of your name. Now Jesus passed through the midst of them, and no one laid a murderous hand upon him.
May Jesus, our Lord, be blessed now and forever! Since he is our Savior, he will lead us safely along the path he has marked out for us. Jesus, may darkness blind my enemies so that they cannot use their eyes; and may they be bowed down to the ground as a sign of their unworthiness.
Saint George, pour out upon them the full force of your indignation, and may your righteous wrath fill them with constant dread; may horror and terror crush their courage at the very thought of your strength.
Jesus, make them as motionless as stones until I—who am Your creature, whom You have redeemed with Your Precious Blood—have passed by.
Jesus, the strength of Your arm has always been wonderfully evident: by that same strength, destroy these powerful enemies, humbling the pride of these impious ones who have risen up against me.
Saint George, protect me from those who rise up on all sides with the intent to destroy me; save me from the hands of the wicked and deliver me from this unjust man.
Saint George, deliver me from those who commit evil, who seek to shed my blood, or who threaten my life, my honor, and my possessions.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, from the beginning and for all eternity, today and forever, world without end. Amen.”
