CHECKING THAT YOU'RE ENJOYING THE RETREAT


Dear Friends,

I hope that you are enjoying the retreat.

A little clarification. The resources sent out each time are meant to accompany you for a few days until you receive the next set of resources. Otherwise, they may seem daunting. Also, the temptation might be there to just just read through them. Don't give into this. I would rather suggest that you take a few days with each set of reflections, to ponder and savor them, and perhaps break them down into small pieces during your quiet time. Revisit again and again the aspects that you found inspiring and you engaged with and pray with those.

I'll be sending out the next set of reflection on the theme ‘Awakened by the Beloved' this coming Sunday. They have been prepared by Fr Liam Finnerty, OCD. You'll love them!

In the Spirit of Saint Elijah the Prophet

God spoke in the past to our ancestors through the prophets; now He has spoken to us through His Son, whom he has made heir to all things. (Heb 1:1-2) Almighty, ever-living God, Your prophet Elijah our Father Lived always in your presence And was zealous for the honour due to your name. May we, your servants, Always seek your face And bear witness to your love. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
