Let us ask St. Valentine to intercede for us to the Father, so He may touch our hearts and free us from past attachments, hopeless relationships, and all the things that tie us down.

Our Lady of Encounters:  O You, My Mother, Who Stays at the Foot of the Cross

I offer you my celibacy. You know what a heavy cross I carry, you can feel the weight on my shoulders as I cross this desert of love. You know my tears and my fatigue.

The grief of unrequited love is not the cause of my sadness, but my inability to fulfill the yearning to offer my love. 

Mary, My Mother, Who resides at the foot of the Cross; I pray to You: help me to see beyond the cross, and soothe the sadness and bitterness that stings my soul. 

Help me, I implore You, to remain a source of joy for all those around me.

Grant me, I pray, the grace to savor each moment of the day the Lord offers me. Do not let this long wait wither my heart, but mold it to be a profound receptacle of the true love to come. 

Keep me, My Mother, in the realms of hope, peace and joy.
