Day 9: Becoming a missionary disciple
HAPPY FEAST OF ST. MICHAEL, ST. RAPHAEL and ST. GABRIEL!
The meaning of our pilgrimage (excerpt from “The Wisdom of the Pilgrim” by Anselm GRUN)
The inner voice, this of the heart is more important than the one of our own parents. To be a pilgrim means to follow up ones inner impulse without always asking the authorization to someone else. We need to be really bold to start walking and to let behind us the old. A pilgrim doesn’t look behind but he looks at the future.
Bible passage: Mt 28, 18-20
Jesus comes near by them and tells :”All power has been given to me in the sky and the earth. Go! From all the nations do disciples : baptism them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, learn them to observe all I already commended you. And me, I am with you every day until the end of the world”.
At the end of this little pilgrimage, I am called to become a missionary disciple able to show God 's love. By hearing God's words of truth, I am then able to serve the people around me who never heard the Good News. Saint Michael, help me to be a faithful and happy witness.
Prayer intention for us
Let’s pray for the grace to be completely commited to his service. We don’t know how to mark the history. But God choses us, personally, to live in this time and to let His presence. Ask God, by the intercession of Saint Michael fornthe grace to understand your mission.
Say one “Our Father”, one “Hail Mary” and one “Glory Be to the Father”.
Prayer intention for our country
Let’s pray for all the citizens who don’t know Jesus. Ask the Lord to give you the boldness to announce the love of Jesus and the grace to be a witness by your daily behaviour.
Recite one “Our Father”, one “Hail Mary” and one “Glory Be to the Father”.
Saint Michael, who bring our prayers in front of God, defend us against the devil, deliver us from all attacks. Help us to close all possible open doors to the devil in our hearts and our lives.
Thank you to have prayed this novena with us! God bless you abundantly through the intercession of the archangels!
Take a moment to treasure up all these things and ponder them in your heart (cf Luke 2,19)
Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone. Col 4:6
