DAY 2: I give what I have!

Meditation

St Paul said: ‘‘Or do you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God and that you are not your own ?’’ (1Cor 6, 19).

Let’s look at the woman’s body, her entrails welcome life to give it, her chest receives milk to distribute it, everything in her tells us about welcome and gift. Do you know how to hide your emotions? They sweat quite often in our lives of women and often impregnate our relationships; we redistribute what we wear! God has entrusted his greatest secret to a woman being sure she will share it! We say that with humour, but it is also to a woman that he entrusts the care of bringing the Good News of the Resurrection:

‘‘So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. ‘Greetings’, He said’’. (Matthew 28, 8-9).

Jesus arises on their way, He is there between the women and the apostles! He is the Good News. We want to take care of the message we want to give, ensure the quality of our gift, its gratuity, its goodness…But for that, I must be filled with good and beautiful! Jesus tells us that all that is bad comes out of the heart; we ask Jesus His heart in our heart so that filled with Him, we redistribute him. When we are passionate about transmitting the beauty of the Gospel, Jesus is always there between me and others!

Questions:

-Do I feel responsible and collaborate with the message of the Good News?

-Do I like announcing the Good News of Christ? Note the fears…

-What means can I take to feed my soul? Prayers, readings…?

Exercise:

Mary’s first attitude has been to listen. You may take an icon, a status, Christ’s face…and reread slowly the above mentionned passage: ‘‘Suddenly Jesus met them. ‘Greetings’, He said’’. Then entering the inner silence, listen as this Word goes down deep in your heart, in your entrails, welcome it as we receive a rare and delicious dish, let Jesus greet you, then listen…note.

Prayer:

Mary, Mediator of all grace, I devote to you my interiority, my ability to wear and distribute what I wear. Teach me to discern what is good and true. After you, I wish to become the temple of the living God, teach me to come often to meet God in the Holy of Holies of my soul, so that filled with Him, I become an ambassador of the Grace of the Almighty.

Prayer for women

Thank you Lord for creating me woman! I am your daughter and I bless you for this new day, where your kindness and mercy are renewed again for me. I stand in the shadow of your wings and let myself love and look though you (I take time to let myself be watched by the Lord in all my being as a woman) Lord, you are my Creator and you have desired me from all eternity, as I am. You love me so much, I have so much value in your eyes that you gave your life for me. I thank you for the Life and Beauty that flow in me. By your Holy Spirit, I ask you the grace to take care of it, to glorify you with all my being as a woman. Lord, you are my God, my Saviour, my Beloved… (I take time to tell the Lord who He is for me : my rock, my sheperd…) Father, on this day, bless my thoughts, my actions and my encounters ; may your blessing reach each person you will put on my way. Through the intercession of all the holy women of heaven, I beg you to fill the hearts of women of the Hozanna community. Amen.
