Divine Providence and trials
I am personally going through a very rough time since the beginning of this year (2019). This has led me to doing some thinking about the role of suffering and how Divine Providence is involved in it. To that end, yesterday I wrote a post for my blog, Sober Catholic, that I think can be useful for the members of this Group who suffer from their own or others' addictions. We are all suffering in some way; many of us cope with it in different ways. Some quite well, others, not so much.
Theb point of my post was that although 2019 as so far been bad, God has seen me through it. And in doing so, has let me discover the wonders of His Divine Providence. Therefore, I should view sufferings not as something to be despondent and anxiety-filled over, but as a means of witnessing to His Glory and Providence.
