Day twenty-five - Using this world's trials for the greater good

Dear Participants,
Welcome to day twenty-five!
As we learned in yesterday's post, Jesus will always meet us where we are, no matter how deep in our worries, anxieties or despair we might be. Let's go back to Isaiah's book: while the survivors encounter great difficulties, the Lord reiterates His love story with His people. He gives them new names like lovers do:
"You shall be a glorious crown in the hand of the Lord, a royal diadem in the hand of your God. [...] You shall be called "My Delight is in her," and your land "Espoused." Isaiah 62, 3-4
And it is that rebirth into love that Jesus came to announce.
Father Lamy meets the Lord through Mary. Through Mary, he realizes that he is renewed, that he is unique, and that he can positively impact the world despite all what's going on: the impending WWI, the modernist struggles within the Church...
Father Lamy is recognized as one of the mystics of the Catholic church. He was blessed with visions of Mary, the first one being during her youth, among the poplar trees. This vision was followed by many others, including an apparition of our Mother during the Mass, along with Lucifer.
It is essential for us to be open to Mary's grace. It will allow us to meet with the Lord. Let us be attentive to that grace in our daily life, and learn to live with the Lord this love story He offers to every one of us.
Living with the Lord is not merely incarnating values. It is accepting to meet Him. But how are we to meet the Lord if not through personal prayer? This is how our relationship with Him is built. The heart-to-heart moment allows us to grow in love and to dwell in the Lord.
