Become a Pilgrim of Hope with Don Bosco

Dear St. John Bosco, as we enter this Jubilee year as pilgrims of hope, help us be voices for those most needing them, especially the young and the poor. Give us the courage, strength, and fortitude to always speak up for the most vulnerable while simultaneously seeing God in everyone whom we encounter. May our young people learn how to do this and be not only “Good Christians and Honest Citizens,” but bearers of truth, light, love, faith, and hope, too.

O holy St. John Bosco, who taught us that everyone can be holy and a saint, especially the young, please pray for us and our intentions. (Pause for a moment of silence to offer private intentions for St. John Bosco's intercession) May we follow your advice to “Trust all things to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and to Mary Help of Christians” and “see what miracles are.” In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Saint Rita, Give Me Hope

Blessed Saint Rita,
You who always placed your trust in God,
You who knew how to love
And forgive in the name of Christ,
Letting yourself be guided each day
By the light of the Holy Spirit,
Hear the prayer we humbly and confidently offer you.
Intercede for us before God,
All-Powerful and Merciful.
May He grant us peace of heart,
So that we, like you,
May live in faith and love,
Without ever losing hope.
Then one day, we too may reach,
With you and all the saints,
The eternal joy of communion
With the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

My God, I offer you all that I do today for the intentions and the glory of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I want to sanctify every beat of my heart, my thoughts and my simplest works by uniting them to his infinite merits. I want to repair for my faults by casting them into the furnace of his merciful love.
O my God! I ask you for myself and those dear to me the grace to fulfill perfectly your holy will and to accept for  love of you the joys and sorrows of this passing life so that one day we may be reunited in Heaven for all eternity.
