Litany of St. Rita

St. Rita of Cascia is the patron saint of “impossible cases”. She endured patiently, with an immense faith in the Lord, the many hard challenges of her life, both as a mother and a spouse. As the patron saint of hopeless causes, she is a very important figure of Christianity, and there are many prayers dedicated to her in desperate times, such as the Litany of St. Rita.

Pray to St. Rita: When and Why?

St. Rita can intercede with God on your behalf, for all your prayer intentions. As patron saint of the impossible, her intercession is mainly used in desperate causes. As you know, there is no situation or need that cannot be presented to God’s mercy. St. Rita’s intercession can help you regain hope and faith by praying for you. You can notably address her with healing prayers when you are sick.

The Italian saint went through many rough challenges during her life, especially because of her engagement with Paolo Mancini: she is a great spiritual resource for difficult marriages

Her Feast Day is celebrated on May 22: it is the perfect occasion to pray to her, with her triduum, or a novena to ask for her intercession.
