Follow the daily video series, where each day you can enter into the journey of Lent through three elements of spiritual nourishment. As we experience this period of separation, let us unite
At Lent in Isolation we want to spiritually nourish those isolated from their faith practices as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is our hope to unite us together in faith as we experience this period of separation.
Each day, throughout Lent, we will be sharing a video with the readings from Holy Mass, spiritual guidance from a priest, and a lead act of spiritual communion.
Videos will be released at noon (GMT) each day. We look forward to praying with you then.
The videos, three elements of spiritual nourishment:
- Divine Scripture is the living Word of God that speaks to us today. It strengthens our faith, acts as food for the soul, and serves as a lasting fount of spiritual life. (CCC 131).
- Priests are ordained to preach the Gospel and to provide spiritual nourishment through Scriptural interpretation and education of the faith.
- Through spiritual communion we unite ourselves to God through an act of prayer, expressing an ardent desire for union with Him.
Prayer from the retreat
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And let us not enter into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen
