United in prayer

Just as this virus is spreading throughout the world, so too is prayer and goodness spreading because the power of prayer is infinite. Our union in prayer and with Jesus Christ is an act of faith in God's goodness and a flood of grace and consolation for those who suffer.

In response to the worrying pandemic situation we are currently experiencing, we join together for 9 days to pray intensely through the intercession of Jesus Christ

I believe to see the good things of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait for and confidently expect the Lord;
Be strong and let your heart take courage;
Yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord.
Ps 26, 13-14

Each day an intention

From March 17th until the feast of the Annunciation of the 25th of March, let us unite in prayer against the coronavirus. Each day we will have an intention:

Day 1: trust in God

Day 2: for the sick

Day 3: for caregivers

Day 4: for the leaders

Day 5: for the mission of the Church

Day 6: for families

Day 7: for the most affected countries

Day 8: for the deceased

Day 9: for a new Pentecost

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick man: and the Lord shall raise him up: and if he be in sins, they shall be forgiven him. James 5,15

"It is during such days that we must give hope, that we must spread hope, that we must kneel down to intercede for the world." Cardinal Angelo De Donatis, vicar general for the diocese of Rome

Prayer from the novena

Prayer of protection

Jesus our Saviour, you once travelled through towns and villages healing every disease and sorrow. (Matthew 4:23) At the sound of your voice the afflicted were set free. By the power of your Most Holy Name, grant us healing and protection from all sickness of body and soul. By the merits of your precious blood deliver and defend us from every evil. Mary Most Holy, we entrust ourselves to you in all of our troubles. Be a Mother to us now. Amen
