How to pray the novena
Every day you will receive by email:
A verse from the bible
The prayer of the day to Saint Jude
This Novena to St. Jude is very special: St. Jude was one of the Twelve Apostles; the Catholic Church acknowledges him as the Patron Saint of lost causes.
In the Holy Bible, the Epistle of Jude is filled with encouragements to keep the faith intact and to remain hopeful!
So, when you're down and out, when nothing else seems to be working, turn your prayers to St. Jude, he is here for you. James promises that the “prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective!” (5:16)
About St. Jude
Saint Jude was one of Jesus' twelve original apostles, it can therefore be concluded that he was also present at the Last Supper. Saint Jude is known under the name 'Thaddeus', meaning 'courageous of heart', 'sweetness' and 'gentleness of character'. He was not like the traitor Judas Iscariot, in fact he was quite his opposite : Saint Jude followed Jesus faithfully to the day of His crucifixion. He then later worked on advancing the mission of evangelization. Very little is known about his story, but we do know that he died as a martyr, sacrificing his life for Jesus Christ — some say around 65AD. His intercession is one of the most prayed for in desperate situations, because his letter in the New Testament stresses the importance for the faithful to persevere in the the face of hardships.
Come and join us, Saint Jude is always listening to us. Let's remain patient and invoke him day after day, he will always intercede for us!
Saint Jude is the patron saint of hopeless causes and of things almost despaired. He is invoked daily by thousands of believers, when their worldly resources are not enough to find a solution for their misfortunes, suffering and distress.
