Novena to St. Therese of Lisieux
A novena to go to St. Therese's spiritual school and pray with her for the intentions of our Church.
Contents of the novena (3 to 6 minutes per day)
You will receive each day via e-mail:
- a short meditation to let yourself be taught,
- an accompanying prayer. At the end of the novena, you can conclude your prayer by reciting a "Hail Mary".
Why a novena?
A novena is a prayer offered for a particular purpose, repeated nine days in a row. Prayer in which we ask for the intercession of a saint, the Blessed Virgin Mary, or addressed directly to God, who responds to the calls of Christ Jesus.
‘And if you have faith, everything you ask for in prayer, you will receive.' (Matthew 21:22)
Testimonies abound throughout the history of the Church, showing that God allows himself to be touched by this form of prayer.
A word of advice for praying to Saint Therese
Before she died, St. Therese promised she would spend her heaven doing good on earth. Therese is a spiritual mother. As a spiritual guide, she advises us, teaches us the little way and shows us the simplest, fastest way to go to Jesus and live union with God from this earth. She transmits to us the "little way" which is a simple but total message of love. So let us take little Therese's hand and let her guide us day after day. You can pray especially for yourself and your entourage and also for the great missionary intentions of our Church. What a joy to let ourselves be led by her on the path of simplicity, of trusting love!
