He had a profound devotion to the Holy Eucharist and made a daily Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament for decades. And often credited this daily prayer as the source of his spiritual strength and ministry.
He died on December 9, 1979, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of evangelization, writings, and deep love for Jesus Christ. One of his most famous quotes is:
