Summer program: "The art of loving Jesus"

retreat from Jul 6, 2026 to Aug 31, 2026

This summer why not go on a short retreat and (re)learn the art of loving Jesus? 3 minutes a day for a "light" and portable retreat that can follow you everywhere. July 6th - August 31st

At the end of the 18th century, Saint Alphonsus Ligori gathered in a small book – "The Art of Loving Jesus Christ" – the treasures of spiritual wisdom gleaned from his long experience. In it, he offers all Christians a path to holiness that is both relevant and timeless, accessible and authentic, imbued with Holy Scripture and nourished by the wisdom of the saints.

Summer is a time when the pace slows down, when we have more time, but often less time to pray... The priests of Claves.org ( Fraternity of Saint Peter ), in partnership with Cathoglad and Hozana, invite you to experience a true "light retreat" in the school of Saint Alphonsus, to (re)learn the art of loving Jesus.

It is simply a 3-minute audio per day centered on the reading of a passage from the book and a short spiritual commentary, which you can extend with 10 to 12 minutes of heart-to-heart with God, nourished by rereading the text of Saint Alphonsus and/or those of the liturgy of the day.

Some tips for enjoying this long but easy retreat:

- choose a time (always the same, and if possible in the morning) to listen to the audio and go directly into a short prayer time (10 to 12 minutes minimum if possible).

- try to find a suitable place (calm, quiet, secluded) at home or in nature.

- The retreat can be followed in groups (as a couple, with family, with friends), and you can support each other to enter into contemplation.

- From the very beginning of the retreat, each person can prepare a small notebook of spiritual gems, to keep passages, quotes, or ideas that resonate with them, creating a little treasure to continue prayer after the retreat ends, preserving the memory of graces and insights received, and noting their requests to the Lord... https://claves.org/
