Saint Rita of Cascia, born Margherita Lotti, a 15th-century Italian nun, is invoked worldwide as the patron saint of hopeless causes and impossible situations.
Her powerful intercession is sought because her life was marked by heroic resilience in the face of suffering, making her a compassionate advocate for those who see no way out of their trials. She teaches us that nothing is lost for those who place their trust in God.
