The Impossible Novena

This Novena is an opportunity not only to grow in virtue, but also to petition Mary to present 3 of our most “impossible” requests to Jesus as we journey through her pregnancy for 9 months!

Also known as the “Walk of the Incarnation,” this is a 9-month Novena where we journey with Our Lady throughout her entire pregnancy from the Feast of the Annunciation to Christmas Day. 3/25-12/25

It is an opportunity to ask Mary to take 3 of our most “impossible” requests and present them to Jesus, to plead with Him on our behalf. As a community, we will come together to unite each of our 3 individual intentions together with Our Blessed Mother for every day of her pregnancy!

Mary's "Fiat" at the Annunciation was the moment when she invited Jesus to dwell within her womb which became His nurturing home for nine months. Mary's Immaculate womb was the place where Her Son's tiny Body not only dwelled, but grew and developed a bit more every single day.

On March 25th, we invite Jesus to dwell within us in a uniquely intimate way too. As we meditate on Jesus growing in Mary's womb, we imagine Him expanding within our own hearts...growing to make room for Him to abide more fully each day.

We are excited to journey together with you for the next 9 months! May Our Lord bless you, Our Lady Keep you and St. Joseph protect you!

Prayer from the retreat

Impossible Novena Prayer

For each of your 3 intentions, you'll meditate and ask for the desired grace by praying "The Hail Holy Queen" followed by the "Prayer of Petition" HAIL HOLY QUEEN x3: Hail Holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve, to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Oh clement, oh loving, oh sweet Virgin Mary, Pray for us, oh holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen. PRAYER OF PETITION x3 : Virgin of the Incarnation, a thousand times we greet thee, a thousand times we praise thee for thy joy when God was incarnated in thee. Because thou art so powerful a Virgin and Mother of God, grant what we ask of thee for the love of God MEMORARE x1: Remember, oh most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence I fly unto thee, oh Virgin of Virgins, my Mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. Oh, Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions but in thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen. PRAY x3: Blessed and praised be the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar in Heaven, on Earth, and Everywhere. Amen. HAIL MARY x1: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. (Please offer this Hail Mary for the intentions of our Impossible Novena Community) TO THE MOST BLESSED SACRAMENT (x1) Thank you, thank you Lord for all the good that I receive from you every day. Thank you because you pour into my soul the infinite sweetness of your mercy. Thank you because you let me feel your forgiveness for my multiple faults. Thank you because with it you show me that you never abandon me. Thank you for all the joys you offer me. Thank you for the sorrows you send me. Thank you too, oh Lord because you preserve for my soul hope and faith. Amen.
