Retreat with Our Lady of the Rosary, pray with the Carmelites

Let us respond to the call of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary to pray the Holy Rosary in the company of the Saints of Carmel in order to deepen our faith and our relationship with Christ.

Venerable Sor María Lucía of Jesus, OCD, seer of Fatima and Discalced Carmelite nun (+2005), who spoke to and prayed with the Most Blessed Virgin Mary, gives us 7 cogent reasons for praying the Holy Rosary everyday:

  • "It's the most pleasing prayer we can offer to God and brings great benefit to our souls".
  • "It enables us to be more receptive to the Eucharist".
  • "It puts us in communication with God".
  • "It helps us to accomplish our daily offerings".
  • "It prevents us from becoming materialistic".
  • "It preserves the theological virtues of faith, hope and charity".

"God and Our Lady know better than anyone what is most appropriate for us as well as what we need. Moreover, the Rosary is a powerful means by which to preserve our faith, our hope and our charity".

For the month of the Rosary, join us in prayer with the Rosary.

Prayer from the retreat

Salve Regina

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears Turn then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us, and after this exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Amen.
