Our Lady of Mercy
I am all merciful.
(Words of Mary to Estelle at Pellevoisin, 1856)
Mary never abandons us. Whatever the situation, she comes to our help. She is the refuge of sinners: she welcomes us all under the great mantle of her love and mercy. She lets herself be touched by our trustful prayers.
Mary shows us how ugly our sins make us. She invites us to change our hearts so that we can receive God's love. He is ready to forgive us for all our sins – his mercy is without end.
I can trust Mary: she prays to Jesus for me, and she teaches me to remain in his love. Holding tightly onto her hand, I'm not afraid of anything!
Remember,
O most loving Virgin Mary,
that never was it known
that anyone who fled
to your protection, implored your help,
or sought your intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly to you,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To you I come, before you I stand
sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the word Incarnate,
do not despise my petition,
but in your mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.
