<h2>What happened?</h2><p>On the 08th of September 2022, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passed away from this world. We gather here to pray for her soul, for her successor, His Majesty King Charles III, the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth countries, and for the conversion of all.</p><h2>Why pray?</h2><p>We should pray for all those who have passed away, whether they are members of our family, loved ones or strangers. As Elizabeth II wielded great responsibility, so her judgement will be the heavier. We must pray for those who govern us, when they are alive and once they are dead, that they may convert in this life so as to be well received in the next. We must pray that they know God&#039;s Love in eternity.</p><p>If those who govern us convert, we will ourselves be better governed and more able to turn to God.</p><h2>Prayer to recite:</h2><p>O God of all spirits and of all flesh, who have destroyed death, overcome the devil, and given life to the world: grant, O Lord, to the soul of your maidservant Queen Elizabeth II, who has departed from this life, that it may rest in a place of light, in a place of happiness, in a place of peace, where there is no pain, no grief, no sighing. And since You are a gracious God and the Lover of Mankind, forgive her every sin she has committed by thought, or word, or deed, for there is not a man who lives and does not sin: You alone are without sin, your righteousness is everlasting, and your word is true. Novena for Parents who had Miscarriages-St Catherine of Sweden

Dear St. Catherine,
Patron of those who have suffered a miscarriage, you know the dangers that await unborn infants. Please intercede for us that we may receive healing from the loss we have suffered.
Our souls have been deprived of peace and we have forgotten what true happiness is.
As we mourn the loss of my child, we place myself in the hands of God and ask for strength to accept His will in all things, for consolation in our grief, and for peace in our sorrow.
Glorious St. Catherine, hear our prayers and ask that God, in good time, grant us a healthy baby who will become a true child of God.
