Day 5 - Saint Rita, Generous in Forgiving
Audio Version
In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Matthew 11: 28-30
"Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light."
Jesus will remove your heavy burden of guilt and hopelessness and give you true rest in Him.
Prayer of this day
Most holy patroness of desperate causes, of the afflicted, the lonely, the unfortunate, allow Christ our Lord to accept me through your intercession in His tender solicitude and to lean over me and relieve me of my burden.
Let us give thanks to His eternal love, that He may make me His worthy son (His worthy daughter) in charity and trust. May my condition as a humble sinner be transfigured by his precious Blood by agreeing to surrender myself completely into His benevolent hands. May each of my sufferings, each of my sacrifices, each of my tears be offered to him and placed on the altar of Redemption.
O very sweet Saint Rita, help me not to turn my thoughts and actions away from divine protection, that at every moment of my life I feel that the Lord is watching over me and that I am a wonder in His eyes.
Give me the grace of forgiveness and confident hope for the future. Amen.
Saint Rita, generous in forgiving, pray for us.

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone. Col 4:6
