Day 0: "All the Believers Were One in Heart and in Mind" (Acts 4:32-35)
On the eve our journey together, we would like to thank you for joining us, and we offer you three key concepts to keep in mind:
1. Communion
We hope this novena will bear you the fruits of communion and peace, no matter where you are in the world!
Let us be like the early Christians: "one in heart and in mind," (Acts 4:32) and pray that this novena helps each of us “progress with Clara on our path of life”.
2. Simplicity
Our novena is very straight-forward (like Saint Clara!). We invite you to take this simplicity seriously.
As brother Eloi Leclerc said: “we have to go back to the simplicity of the Gospel and take this simplicity seriously”. The Lord doesn't ask anything complicated from us; but he demands us to love Him “ with all [our] hearts and with all [our] souls and with all [our] minds and with all [our] strength," and “to love our neighbor as ourselves”. (Mark 12: 30-31).
So let us open ourselves without holding back!
3. Availability
We believe that the Lord's Spirit will show us our own path through the simplicity of what is offered to us.
Let us open our hearts to a single verse of a Psalm, let's focus our attention on one single aspect of Clara's life and be inspired by her example, and let's memorize a practical piece of advice and try to apply it in our lives!
Nothing more, nothing less! Let's experience this adventure in all of its depth, and be transformed by He who wants to make LIVING BEINGS out of US!
What you do, may you always do and never abandon. But with swift pace, light step, and unswerving feet, so that even your steps stir up no dust, go forward securely, joyfully and swiftly, on the path of prudent happiness."
- St. Clare of Assisi, 2nd letter to St. Agnes of Prague.

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone. Col 4:6
