First day : Holy Rita, Gift of God
Invocation to the Holy Ghost :
in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
Fire and light shining on the face of Christ,
Fire whose coming is word, fire whose silence is light,
Fire turning hearts in Thanksgiving,
We magnify you. You who rest in Christ,
Spirit of wisdom and intelligence, spirit of counsel and strength,
Spirit of science and fear, we magnify you.
You who scrutinize the depths of God, you who illuminate the eyes of our heart,
You who join our spirit, you by whom we reflect the glory of the Lord,
We magnify you.
(Saint Ephrem)
Prayer to Holy Rita :
Holy Rita, I come to beg you to obtain from God, by your mighty intercession, the relief necessary to me in the ordeal overwhelming me at this moment. You have been, Holy Rita, as a precious gift, granted by God to the prayers, tears and good works of your parents.
Get me the spirit of prayer, the gift of trust and perseverance in prayer. Thrusting the loving protection of God on all his creatures, teach me to love him, to believe in his power and to hope in his goodness.
Holy Rita, you have had so many difficulties, you know what it costs to hope.
Holy Rita, you are the saint of what is impossible, give me the courage to hope.
Saint Rita, you have accepted contempt, criticism, and even violence in your home. Your maternal tenderness has been ridiculed.
Tell me how one can still love, whom who loved God so much. whom who have had so much pity for your lord.
You did want to suffer in your body his wounds of crucified, teach me to look at the cross, teach me to share your hope.
I pray for all those who dare not hope, for all those who no longer believe in miracles. Help us to meet the risen.
Lord, my God and my father, I believe that you are present here, in me, and that you listen with love and kindness to my prayer that I present to you, through the intercession of holy Rita to whom I speak with confidence.

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone. Col 4:6
