When we posted Jim's last letter we did not publish the name of the former hostage that memorized the letter because we hadn't received permission from him. We now have that permission and we can thank Daniel Rye Ottosen in public and from the bottom of our hearts. Below are some extracts from an email he sent Diane. Hey Diane I'm out of words. I can't express myself in any way. I’m so sad for what happened. Before i left the jail James came over to me. He said to me: "Daniel, I love you". And i said to him: "James, i sure love you too.” I told you his last massage through the phone when i got released. I think that was the best i could do. I have never had a brother. So i kinda used james as a brother to me. James had a natual talent of being a big brother - Jims has also left a lot of happy memories in a very dark place. And now i believe he is in a bright place with peace. You can only be proud of your son - he was made out of something special. Venlig hilsen / Best regards Daniel Rye
