Live Compline and Preaching with the Dominicans

Join our Sung Compline and Preaching, following the traditional 'O Antiphons' that mark the last days of Advent, and prepare for this Christmas with the Dominican Student Brothers.

The last few days of Advent are marked by the traditional 'O Antiphons' sung during the Liturgy of the Hours. Each Antiphon calls on the coming Messiah with one of his titles found in the Prophecy of Isaiah.

Every day at 20.30 between 17th and 23rd December, the Dominican Student Brothers will live-stream their sung Night Prayer (Compline) and take turns to share a brief meditation on each of these Antiphons.

Join this retreat to help you prayerfully prepare for Christmas:

Prayer from the retreat

Collect of the Fourth Sunday of Advent

Pour forth, we beseech you, O Lord, your grace into our hearts, that we, to whom the Incarnation of Christ your Son was made known by the message of an Angel, may by his Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of his Resurrection. Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever, Amen.
