Who is Saint Michael the Archangel?
Saint Michael is an angel and royal standard-bearer of the militia of Christ. He is often depicted wearing battle armor and a sword or spear while standing triumphantly over a dragon.
Saint Michael the Archangel is the patron saint of soldiers and doctors. He is invoked for protection, especially from lethal enemies.
In the Bible, his presence is mentioned five times as the supreme head of the heavenly army.
“Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they were defeated and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.” (Revelation 12:7-8)
Feast day: Saint Michael the Archangel is celebrated on 29 September, also known as Michaelmas.

Why pray to Saint Michael?
Saint Michael is a powerful protector and defender against the devil.
