The rosary is a very ancient and very simple prayer that the Church offers you so that you can come to love Jesus more and more, thanks to Mary. It's a bit like a chain – but not a chain for prisoners! It is a very light chain that links us to Heaven.
Each Hail Mary is like a rose that you offer to Mary. That's why this prayer is called the “rosary”, because the word originally meant a rose-garden.
How do we pray the rosary? It's very simple. All we have to do is say five decades of the rosary while thinking about the life of Jesus.
