INVOCATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Come, Holy Spirit, 

send us a ray of your light.

Come, Father of the poor,

come, giver of gifts,

come, light of the heart.

Greatest comforter,

sweet guest of the soul,

sweet consolation.

In labour, rest,

in heat, place of refuge,

in tears, solace.

O most blessed light,

fill the inmost heart of your faithful.

Without your spirit,

there is nothing in man,

nothing that is not harmful.

Cleanse that which is unclean,

water that which is dry,

heal that which is wounded.

Bend that which is inflexible,

heat that which is chilled,

correct what goes astray.

Give to your faithful,

those who trust in you,

your holy gifts. 

Grant the reward of virtue,

grant the deliverance of salvation,

grant eternal joy.

Our Lady of Silence, pray for us and with us.

ANGELUS

The angel of the Lord declared unto Mary,

And she conceived by the Holy Spirit.

Hail Mary…

Behold the handmaid of the Lord.

Be it done to me according to thy word.

Hail Mary…

And the Word was made flesh.

And dwelt amongst us.

Hail Mary…

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God,

That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray.

Pour forth, we beseech thee, O Lord, thy grace into our hearts; that, we to whom the Incarnation of Christ, thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by his Passion and cross, be brought to the glory of his Resurrection through the same Christ our Lord.

TODAY'S PRAYER

O Mary, Our Lady of Silence and Mother of Trust, send away discouragement, hopelessness and bitterness that I may bring order to my life and commit myself each day to fulfilling the plan of love that your Son Jesus has for me. Amen.
