Hope
Saint Paul's prayer and encouragement reopened the hearts of his companions to hope, even though they were still in the midst of the storm and far from the shore. It is hope that sustains the migrants of today and makes them undertake perilous journeys that are often without return.
On this day, let us pray to the Lord of Life, that he may answer the prayer of the new refugees and that he may awaken in the hearts of all Christians a readiness to welcome every form of fraternal solidarity. In this way, the spirit opens the way for us, starting from collaboration and common witness, to bring our various churches of belonging to the fullness of communion.
Let us ask the Holy Spirit to sustain the hope of refugees and to make our Christian communities places of salvation and love for all.
