Reconciliation
The Boat of the Church is struggling between the waves, laden with the weight of so many faults, past and present, that stand in the way of full reconciliation. Today we are invited to throw this heavy burden into the sea. What does it mean to throw it into the sea?
Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque had a magnificent intuition: this sea is the Heart of Christ!
"This divine Heart," she wrote, "is an abyss of good, into which the poor must pour their needs. It is an abyss of joy, into which we must throw all our sorrows. It is an abyss of humiliation for our pride, an abyss of mercy for the unfortunate, and an abyss of love, into which we must bury all our miseries".
Why not throw all our concerns and our misery into Him, why not let ourselves be reconciled by God and with God?
Let us pray for Christians of all churches that, freed from the painful memories of the past, they may open their hearts to forgiveness and reconciliation.

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone. Col 4:6
