Psalm 79 (80) // Canvas: "Shine Forth!" (Anne-Laure Lavagna)

Chorus: Turn us again, O LORD; cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved!

Give ear, O shepherd of Israel,

Thou that dwellest between the cher-u-bims, shine forth.

Stir up thy strength, and come and save us.

Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven and behold,

and visit this vine; and the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted.

Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand,

upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.

So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name!

A little help, some keys to meditation through painting ?

  1. Let us ask for the Grace to welcome the Lord, his word for our life.
  2. This gigantic star invades the surface of the canvas: an immense sun that illuminates! Let us contemplate the One who is Light.
  3. Enter these orange tones, these yellow tones, to feel this Heat.
  4. Discover 1 or 2 words, make this writing engraved in the painting resonate: It is a prayer of the heart.
  5. Feel this Life, these strong vibrations, which emerge from this divine Light, in this blue universe which is also illuminated and vibrated.
  6. Let your eyes circulate, let yourself be touched, stay where you can taste... and open your heart to the sweetness of the Lord who speaks.

Thank God for this dialogue, for His comforting Presence so enlightening for our live! Amen :-)

Lord, May we be touched by these visual prayers, which open us to another "form of prayer". Make us available to your Holy Spirit and be open to hearing your Word through these colors, mediating your message.
